For years there has been a point on my bucket list I didn’t realise yet:
I would like to speak fluent English.
The question is: Which way is the best to realise this wish?
Finally I had an idea and the possibility to manifest it. Preparations have already started…
I think the best way to learn English is to stay in an English speaking country. That’s why I looked for a job abroad. I love baking and I’m interested to improve not only my English skills but my baking skills too. So I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to join a bakery in Johannesburg for 3 months. I’m really happy to get this chance and meanwhile I’m a bit excited. My adventure will start in September.

This blog will be a diary about my experiences in a large bakery and a collection of recipes I’m working with. I will join the “Black Forest Bakery”. This is why I had the idea to bake a Blackforest Cake, to get in mood with my adventure. The recipe for the “Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte” is from the blog “Call me cup cake”. The outworking of this cake is not the classic one, but I love it. It’s a very uncomplicated interpretation and a delicious recipe. Easy and quick to make. It looks so lush and tasty.
