Graduation Cake

Two bachelor degrees in one month in one family. Parents are very proud, it’s a good reason to celebrate. Both kids love Oreo cookies. So, the choice for what kind of graduation cake was easy.
In one of Peggy Porschens recipe books I have seen a delicious Oreo Cake.
Oreo cookies are inside and outside the cake – anyhow the whole cake is “Oreo“.

I had to buy lots of cookies. And I needed lots of icing sugar for the buttercream.
The buttercream is a combination of butter, said icing sugar, vanilla, fresh cheese
and broken Oreo cookies. The cake has 4 layers – of course with Oreos (broken cookies). The layers are out of victorian biscuit. The size of each layer is 15 cm. That makes a small but high little cake.

At the end I decorated the cake with the new thin Oreo cookies. If you now will think this is advertising for Oreo?
No, no, it isn’t, it’s just a little present from a proud mother.

I hope one piece of cake with a glass of champagne will make my kids happy.

Tip: The cookies have to mashed very pretty. When you mix them with the buttercream don’t stir the cream too long as I did then the cream will be much more lighter.
